Clik here to view.Below is a list of some typical email system issues that cause people to unsubscribe from an email list and simple ways to resolve them:
- Inconsistency:
If you maintain an emailing schedule, customers know when to expect your messages and are less likely to get surprised/irritated/overwhelmed by them.
- Unclear Advantages:
If customers don’t see any benefits, they might decide to unsubscribe. Ensure you’re showing them why they should continue receiving your emails with special email-only offers.
- Multiple addresses:
Customers sometimes want to continue receiving emails from you but via a different email address (e.g. Their current account is being flooded with other messages). Give them the option to easily change their account info in your system.
- Matter that is too broad:
Not every product is going to interest all of your customers, so allow people to specify what type of content they want to receive.
- Email Method:
Some people simply don’t like emails or get too many. You might want to offer an alternative method of communication, like a hardcopy newsletter or an increased Facebook presence.
